TBG Wins Two W3 Awards
Children’s National Health System & TBG Site Receive Acclaim
TBG (The Berndt Group), www.berndtgroup.net, a prominent and growing national digital agency located in Baltimore, MD, brought home two 2015 W3 Awards for Outstanding Achievement for its work on nationally recognized websites, the Children’s National Health System and TBG’s recent website redesign. These recognitions are a growing addition to the many awards the Children’s National and TBG site have won since launching in 2014.
The W3 Awards honors creative excellence on the Web, and recognizes the creative and marketing professionals behind award-winning sites, videos and marketing programs. The W3 awards allow agencies, firms and companies of all sizes the chance to be recognized for their creativity.
Children’s National selected TBG after an arduous RFP process. The hospital sought to develop a website that improved patient experience and physician satisfaction and updated the health system’s branding accordingly. Upon interviewing stakeholders within Children’s National, TBG recommended a Web strategy based on best practices research and creative analysis. This thorough process enabled TBG to develop and deploy the optimal Web strategy, design, and user-driven, higher usability architecture for the website that resonates for all users, especially patients and their families. TBG continues to work with Children’s National on its digital strategy to deepen integration, migrate and improve microsites, and optimize use of the Sitecore CMS platform.
The W3 win is the ninth award TBG has won for its work on the Children’s National site. Thus far, the website has also won a WebAward, Digital Health Award, Healthcare Advertising Award, Aster Award, Summit Award, Horizon Award, ADDY Award, and Omni Award.
As a Web development and design firm, TBG took its updated online presence very seriously. TBG has spent the last 24 years in the information technology sector building a national reputation as one of the best Web developers in the U.S. and making our company a great place to work. It was essential to the project that the new website demonstrate this growth and expertise. Built completely in Sitecore CMS, the fully responsive website enables personalization and customer engagement, as well as greater social media engagement. TBG also focused on enhancing its Projects/Portfolio section that details case studies on major projects. The new site also gives a better sense of TBG’s company culture—what it’s like to work here, what it’s like to work with us as a client, and what we’re like outside of the conference room. Overall, the site is a state-of-the-art example of Web development best practices. The W3 win is the seventh award TBG has won for its website. TBG’s site was also recognized with a WebAward, Summit Award, Horizon Award, and an Omni Award.
