TBG Announces New Managers of Development Standards & Quality Assurance / Knowledge Management

November 28, 2012, Baltimore, MD

TBG (The Berndt Group) announced that it has promoted two long-time employees to new positions at TBG. Ed Kapuscinski, a Senior Engineer and Content Management System (CMS) expert at TBG, is now Manager of Development Standards. Audrey Guillemot, one of TBG's most senior Account Managers, assumes the role of Manager of Quality Assurance & Knowledge Management.

While the responsibilities encapsulated within these two positions are not new to TBG, and are a part of every project that we successfully deliver to clients, with TBG in a growth and expansion mode, formalizing these roles made good business sense.

"Given the complexity and size of the projects we work on and the great value that Ed and Audrey bring to the table, formalizing these positions made a lot of sense. Ed and Audrey know TBG's processes in-and-out and they have both been the lead developer and account manager on a number of our largest and most successful projects. Both Ed and Audrey bring tremendous internal as well as industry knowledge to their new roles. I am very excited to work with them in their new roles and it provides even more capacity to our clients to ensure that we deliver the best projects that we can," commented Michelle Géczy, Chief Operating Officer at TBG.

Ed Kapuscinski is a senior member of TBG's Web development team primarily involved with implementing content managed solutions for a wide-variety of clients. In his six years at TBG, Ed has worked on CMS selection and integrations for such high-profile clients as the National Aquarium, Towson University, American Montessori Society, The National Council for Air and Stream Improvement, Chemical Heritage Foundation, The University of Nebraska Medical Center, Pitney Bowes Business Insight, NAIOP, and the National Center for State Courts, to name a few. Ed has also provided CMS consulting and expertise to a number of our clients including Stanley Black & Decker.

In his new role as Manager of Development Standards, Ed will continue to work on projects as a Senior Engineer, and he will also work closely with TBG's Technical Director, other developers and project teams to ensure the highest technical standards on all of TBG's projects.

"I'm looking forward to making sure that all of our projects will benefit from the substantial collective experience that our engineering staff brings to the table. I believe that our potential is more than the sum of all of our parts, and by being a central part of organizing and disseminating best practices we can reach that full potential in everything we do," Ed Kapuscinski commented.

In his spare time, Ed enjoys working with The Conrail Historical Society, where he was recently a board member, an organization that preserves and restores railroad equipment and other historical artifacts. You can also often find him on lunch breaks at the Gypsy Food Truck!

In her seven years at TBG, Audrey Guillemot has successfully project managed a number of TBG's most complex and prestigious projects. Her background includes 10+ years of project management, serving a wide-range of industries, and working with small and large associations, large corporate companies, nonprofit organizations, museums and consulting firms. Audrey has led clients through major website redesigns, multi-site implementations, Web application design, CMS implementations, and brand identity development. TBG's accounts include the American Society for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology (ASTRO), Arts Every Day, American Visionary Art Museum (AVAM), Loyola University Maryland, The Shelter Group, Brightview Senior Living, NAIOP, Gallagher, Evelius & Jones LLP, and the Maryland Science Center, among others.

In her new role as Manager of Quality Assurance & Knowledge Management, Audrey will function as a resource for internal teams and clients on projects, ensuring best practices around project processes as well as planning and execution around critical aspects of projects including testing and QA and client training. Audrey's wealth of first-hand knowledge from years of project management as well as her intense attention to detail will be a strong asset to clients and their projects. Audrey is currently finalizing her PMP certification.

In Audrey's own words, "I'm looking forward to standardizing and tightening our processes around Quality Assurance and building a strong team and framework that will assist us in taking on the ever changing challenges that come with our line of work when developing strategies and websites for new devices, new OS and new platforms that are constantly evolving. It's going to be an exciting shift of focus for me and I look forward to working with clients in my new capacity at TBG."

In her free time, you can find Audrey capturing scenes and moments with her camera—she has a passion for photography—as much the conceptualization and process as the final product. She also recently took up sewing (Project Runway TBG Edition, watch out!) and she is a bit of a Foodie!
