TBG Wins Three Davey for Work on the UMD School of Law and JHCC Websites and the NAIB Trip Planner
TBG (The Berndt Group), www.berndtgroup.net, a Baltimore, Maryland-based full service interactive agency, announced that it has received three Davey awards for successful projects we delivered for the National Aquarium, Johns Hopkins Children's Center and University of Maryland School of Law.
The Davey Awards recognize the creative excellence of smaller companies and firms worldwide. David defeated the giant Goliath with a big idea and a little rock. The annual International Davey Awards honors the achievements of the "Creative Davids" who derive their strength from big ideas, rather than stratospheric budgets.
TBG received a Gold award for for our work on the Johns Hopkins Children's Center website. We launched this site in 2008. The site runs on the Ektron CMS.
We also took home Silver awards for the National Aquarium in Baltimore's Trip Planner and the site we developed for the University of Maryland School of Law.
Since it's launch in May 2007, the National Aquarium Trip Planner application has received over 110,000 uses. It is a Flash-based, content managed application running on the RedDot Content Management System (CMS).
Berndt Group CEO, John Berndt, commented, "We really enjoyed working on these projects and with these clients, and are honored that our work for Johns Hopkins Children's Center, the National Aquarium and the University of Maryland School of Law are considered best-of-breed projects."
TBG wins an average of ten design awards per year.
About The Davey Awards
The largest and most prestigious awards competition exclusively for the "Davids" of creativity. David defeated the giant Goliath with a big idea and a little rock—the sort of thing small firms do each year. The annual International Davey Awards honors the achievements of the "Creative Davids" who derive their strength from big ideas, rather than stratospheric budgets. The Davey Awards may be for smaller organizations, but the judges have big reputations. The Davey is sanctioned and judged by the International Academy of the Visual Arts, an invitation-only body consisting of top-tier professionals from a "Who's Who" of acclaimed media, advertising, and marketing firms. IAVA members include executives from organizations such as Condè Nast, Michael Kors Inc., Disney, The Ellen Degeneres Show, Microsoft, HBO, Monster.com, MTV, Polo Ralph Lauren, Sotheby's Institute of Art, Victoria's Secret, Howcast and many more.
