TBG is seeking an experienced digital strategy consultant to join its user experience and digital strategy team. Applicants should have a broad knowledge of digital practices, strong intellectual ability, an analytic sensibility, and the ability to successfully interview and interact with client senior management, including developing and presenting ideas of substance to our clients’ senior leadership. Additionally, strong writing abilities and the ability to develop compelling narratives are key to success in the role. Direct experience with user experience work, analytics, and other types of digital implementation is a plus. Successful applicants will have a passion for staying abreast of shifting trends in the industry and are excellent problem solvers. The position is an important, strategy-focused one joining an active practice that already engages with these issues for large organizations across the country.

The Senior Digital Strategy Consultant will engage with clients to help them crystalize digital strategies that address challenges and opportunities, and organize those strategies into actionable digital roadmaps; in addition to freestanding consulting projects, the role will also supply ad hoc consulting related to supporting existing accounts and projects. The Senior Digital Strategy Consultant will work with a variety of TBG’s clients simultaneously, often in collaboration as a part of a larger TBG project team. The substance will often focus on making holistically integrated recommendations about how specific development initiatives, positioning strategies, data use, analytics, technology solutions, and other techniques that can deliver impactful improvements and, in many cases, measurable ROI in the client’s digital ecosystem.

The Senior Digital Strategy Consultant’s responsibilities may include a broad range of activities, including but not limited to leading stakeholder discovery interviews, reviewing  analytics data, conducting market and audience analysis, conducting and analyzing user research activities, creating personas and user profiles, defining existing and proposed user journeys, researching and evaluating emerging technologies, recommending new marketing strategies and governance practices, writing strategic briefings and presentations, defining roadmap plans, conducting workshops around specific topics, and delivering strategic presentations to stakeholder groups. In some cases, these activities may include other TBG colleagues and represent a larger collaboration, but the position is expected to take a leading role in many engagements.

Strong candidates will have most of the following:

  • At least six years of professional experience in the digital strategy field.

  • Experience working with large-scale digital projects; typically based around custom applications and/or CMS (Content Management System) projects.

  • A broad understanding of the web and will be conversant in current topics surrounding CX, CMS, customer data, and personalized experience. If there are gaps in knowledge, a strong aptitude for skill development and appetite for research are also crucial.

  • Experience preparing and leading client-oriented interviews, meetings, and workshops aimed at gathering or presenting insights and information.

  • Experience producing digital strategy consulting deliverables (strategy plans, roadmap documents, analytics analysis and reporting, demographic and geolocation segmentation, user flows, personas, user research and survey planning and analysis, etc.).

  • Consumer research experience. Specifically, familiarity with planning and running focus groups, card sorts, surveys, and heuristic usability analysis.

  • Experience recommending and creating complex content strategy recommendations and documentation.

  • Experience recommending and implementing digital governance standards, procedures, and tool sets for use across large organizations.

  • Experience identifying, assessing, and documenting requirements around new digital tools and technologies.

  • Experience reading and analyzing a variety of analytic data sources and helping to ascertain key storytelling points from data insights.

  • Familiarity with continuous digital optimization practices and creating strategic recommendations that support evolving consumer expectations.

  • A best practices orientation and approach to solving complex organizational, architectural, and usability issues for large websites and projects.

  • Knowledge of evolving digital standards and how they align with consumer expectations.

  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office products – specifically PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.

  • Superb organizational, time management, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to multi-task, working on several projects or tasks at once at times.

  • Ability to work on tight deadlines.

  • Ability to improvise in discussions with clients and come up with creative and appropriate commentary and solutions.

  • Ability to work collaboratively and in cross-discipline scenarios – partnering with other strategists, developers, and clients – to come up with meaningful solutions.

  • Must work well in teams with other highly qualified web professionals in a relaxed, culturally diverse environment.

The following is also encouraged:

  • Experience with SEO best practices and management. Experience working on large-scale, complex websites in healthcare.

  • Familiarity with personalization concepts and strategies.

  • Familiarity with Google Data Studio and/or Google Tag Manager.

  • Familiarity with Jira.

Extra bonus points for any of the following:

  • An extended history in commercial healthcare.

  • Experience with Sitecore.

  • Experience with CRM implementation and management.

  • Experience with Digital Asset Management (DAM) implementation and management.

  • Experience with Digital Marketing (SEM, email, social media, etc.) management.
