Quality Assurance Specialist (Bulgaria)

Full-time position for U.S. Company in Sofia, Bulgaria

An American-based firm, TBG (The Berndt Group) is an award-winning digital agency and a leading partner for Sitecore, a leading content management and personalization platform that is aligned with .NET development. We are building a development team in Sofia, Bulgaria. The Bulgarian development team will work closely with the U.S. project teams and be culturally well-integrated with the company. TBG is seeking full-time experienced Quality Assurance (QA) Specialists for a team in Sofia to work on building large websites and applications. If you're looking for a stimulating and engaging position and work environment at a successful, growing company, this job is for you!

The position requires fluency in English language and strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as a high level of personal organization. Bulgarian citizenship or work permit is required, no relocation assistance is provided.

Ideal candidates will exhibit the following experience/skills:

  • extreme attention to details and thoroughness in all tasks;

  • ability to multi-task;

  • strong analytical and problem-solving skills;

  • ability to convey professionalism and engagement in all written, verbal and in-person meetings with TBG staff;

  • high level of responsiveness in all communications;

  • reliability, availability and ability to meet all assigned and agreed to deadlines; 

  • experience with cross browser and devices compatibility testing for design fidelity;

  • previous Quality Assurance experience preferred;

  • previous experience using issue tracking software preferred (JIRA); and

  • experience testing Web content management systems (i.e., Sitecore, Umbraco, EpiServer, Sitefinity, etc.) preferred.

Core Duties & Responsibilities:

  • develop and execute test plans against requirements and specifications;

  • be able to test websites on multiple devices and browsers;

  • quickly get up to speed on details of projects;

  • report bugs and defects in a clear and organized manner using our bug tracking system;

  • candidates must be meticulous, reliable, hardworking, able to multi-task, and have strong problem-solving skills and a high level of maturity; and

  • successful candidates must work respectfully in a group environment, and manage their time efficiently.

This is a long-term opportunity with what is likely to be a growing team in Sofia, and a chance to learn Sitecore, which is a dominant platform for large websites and Web applications. It is also an opportunity to work with a U.S. firm focused on best practices, with interesting, complex projects that are highly interesting and at times on the forefront of Web development.
