Berndt Group Staff is Best & Brightest

December 11, 2008

BALTIMORE, MD—In 2008, The Berndt Group, a Baltimore, MD-based full service interactive agency, added some great new people to our staff, building significant new depth for The Berndt Group.

What The Berndt Group has to offer is an amazing crew of senior web professionals who are both passionate about their work and plugged into the best practices in a variety of related fields. 2008 has been a successful year for us and we've been lucky to hire a number of new additions to the team that strengthens areas of our business.

We are pleased to announce our new Director of Account Management, John Mohr; John will spearhead The Berndt Group's continued focus on bringing discipline to our projects and a customer service orientation to our business.

John Mohr, commented, "A main goal that I have in this role is improving upon the strong customer service and attention to detail that our project managers currently provide to our clients."

John has managed user experience, design, and technical teams on high-profile and award-winning projects including web sites for The University of Maryland School of Law, Pitney Bowes MapInfo, Provident Bank, Mercy Medical Center and many others.

With more than ten years of project management experience, John has a proven track record of managing internal and external teams to complete projects on time and on budget. He is also knowledgeable in the areas of information architecture, functional requirements development, and web analytics. John holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Cedar Crest College. Prior to joining The Berndt Group, he was Director of Client Services with Integrated Marketing Solutions (recently acquired by Mediware Information Systems) a firm focusing on developing web based technologies for blood collection centers across the country including the American Red Cross, Blood Bank of San Bernardino and Riverside Counties, and the Blood Center of Iowa.

Some of the other folks you may meet include Kristin Pitcher. Kristin comes to The Berndt Group with ten years experience; she directs our expanded information architecture and user behavior practice with substantial experience in best practices. She also manages our focus group service offering - working with clients to plan the logistics, moderate focus groups, and do the analysis of data as well as creating a clear set of recommendations for next steps on projects, based on focus group feedback. While all of our account managers also serve as strategic consultants and information architects on projects, having Kristin in-house allows us to be even more focused on usability best practices for our clients. Kristin is currently working on some complex projects, including the redesign of SafeNet Inc.'s web site - SafeNet is a leader in the Internet security field, and a new site for the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM). Prior to The Berndt Group, Kristin worked for Lockheed Martin, on a major project for the Social Security Administration.

Additionally, new project manager/analysts Christina Weisharr, Nicole Ward, Chris Anderson and Nick Tate bring a bevy of national web experience and new specialized marketing skills to the mix. Dan Blake, one of our in-house Web Production Specialists, has a strong focus in all things Web 2.0.

Michelle Géczy, Vice President of The Berndt Group, said, "We have made some great new hires this year that augment and compliment our already top-notch staff at The Berndt Group. We are confident that our staff is one of the best and brightest of web firms in the Baltimore/Washington area — expert staff, who are focused on industry best practices, combined with the quality product that we deliver to our clients (and the range of services we offer), equals successful projects for our clients."
