The Berndt Group is Web Developer of Choice for Top Baltimore Tourist Attractions, Including New BMA Web site

July 27, 2006

BALTIMORE, MD—The Berndt Group, www.berndtgroup.net, a Baltimore, MD-based full service interactive agency, announced the addition of The Baltimore Museum of Art as a new client. The BMA was recently named #17 in the Baltimore Business Journal’s list of the 25 “Most Popular Tourist Attractions in the Baltimore Area.” The Berndt Group will be designing the museum’s new web site, scheduled for launch in Fall 2006.

The new contract with the BMA represents The Berndt Group’s growing niche in the Baltimore tourism and cultural attractions industries. From the BBJ list, The Berndt Group has developed award-winning web sites and interactive projects for four out of the 25 attractions listed including, the National Aquarium in Baltimore (#7), the Maryland Science Center (#11), the Hippodrome Theatre (#13), and the Maryland Hall for the Creative Arts (#23).

President and CEO, John Berndt, commented, “A good web site is crucial for the success of a tourist and cultural attraction and we’re grateful that we’ve been able to work with some of the best cultural institutions in Baltimore. It’s an honor when clients such as the BMA decide to put their online presence in our hands.”

"We are thrilled to be working with The Berndt Group on a dynamic new web site for the BMA," said Becca Seitz, BMA Deputy Director for Marketing & Communications. "Their strategic thinking, depth of knowledge, creativity, and unparalleled expertise in Web development made them the best choice to design the BMA's new online brand as we open our doors free to all this fall.”

The Baltimore Museum of Art, one of the city’s oldest art institutions, will eliminate its general admission fee beginning October 1. Home to a world-renowned collection of modern art, the BMA is a thriving component of the city’s art and culture scene.
