Freelance Graphic Designers

Freelance work for Graphic Designers. The Berndt Group is in need of qualified and talented freelance Graphic Designers to work with our 4-person design team that produces award winning web site designs.

Ideal candidates must have the following:

  • An online portfolio demonstrating strongly designed sites, designed from the ground up (not only sites that the candidate has contributed to or produced)
  • At least 3 years experience designing for the Web
  • Solid Fireworks skills
  • Photoshop and Illustrator skills, enough to work with files and bring into Fireworks
  • Flash skills, knowledge of action scripting preferable
  • Enough production experience to be able to design keeping in mind how the end product will be built
  • Knowledge of Dreamweaver

Additional required skills:

  • Close contact / collaboration with production and technical departments in bringing sites to launch
  • Designing for css
  • Designing for integration with a content management system, including custom and third party CMS
  • Designing for 508 compliant sites
  • Logo / identity design; and print design

Candidates must be meticulous, hard working, able to multi task, and has strong problem solving skills and a high level of maturity. Successful candidates must work respectfully in a group environment, manage their time efficiently, and be able to constructively incorporate internal and client feedback into their design process.

Candidates must have 3 years of continuous industry experience in Web design. Candidates should be able to demonstrate current capabilities that are comparable to our existing standards.
