September 16, 2008

BALTIMORE, MD—The Berndt Group, www.berndtgroup.net, a Baltimore, Maryland-based full service interactive agency, announced that it has received three WebAwards. The WebAwards, in their 12th year, recognize talented individual and team efforts in outstanding web site development.

More than 2,400 sites from 45 countries were adjudicated in 96 industry categories during this year's competition. Entries were judged on design, copy writing, innovation, content, interactivity, navigation, and use of technology.

The Berndt Group received an "Education Standard of Excellence" award for the "Outstanding Achievement in Web site Development" for our work on the National Aquarium in Baltimore's Trip Planner. Since it's launch in May 2007, the trip planner application has received over 110,000 uses. It is a Flash-based, content managed application running on the RedDot Content Management System (CMS).

The Berndt Group also received an "Outstanding Web site" honor for "Outstanding Achievement in Web site Development" for our work on the Johns Hopkins Children's Center web site. We launched this site in 2008. The site runs on the Ektron CMS.

Additionally, The Berndt Group's work on a new site for the University of Maryland School of Law, took home a "School Standard of Excellent" award for "Outstanding Achievement in Web site Development."

Berndt Group CEO, John Berndt, commented, "We are always happy to have our hard work recognized and honored - the three projects winning awards this year showcase the high-end graphic design and Flash work we do as a firm, as well as highlight our focus on solving complex user experience issues for our clients, our skill in clearly organizing large volumes of content on sites and our expertise in implementing significant content managed web sites and applications."

The Berndt Group wins an average if ten design awards per year.
