Berndt Group Wins Third Webby Award for National Aquarium's "Frogs! A Chorus of Colors"

BALTIMORE, MD—The Berndt Group, www.berndtgroup.net, a Baltimore, Maryland-based full service interactive agency announced that it has been named an Official Honoree in the 10th Annual Webby Awards for their work on the National Aquarium in Baltimore’s exhibit web site “Frogs! A Chorus of Colors.” This distinction is given to those sites and teams that have demonstrated a standard of excellence. This is The Berndt Group’s third Webby Awards recognition, they received the People’s Voice Winner in the category of Cultural Institutions for the National Aquarium in Baltimore web site in 2005, and Official Honoree recognition for the Maryland Science Center web site in 2006.
The Webby Awards is the leading international honor for web sites and individual achievement in technology and creativity. Of the more than 5,500 entries submitted to the 10th Annual Webby Awards, fewer than 20% were distinguished as an Official Honoree. This honor signifies an outstanding caliber of work. The Berndt Group was recognized alongside top agencies and companies such as Avenue A / Razorfish, AOL, Paramount Pictures, and marthastewart.com.

The Frogs exhibit web site features high impact Flash and audio on the exhibit's Index page. In addition a special Flash “game” allows visitors to create their own Frogs "chorus of sound" by turning on one or more frog sounds at the same time. Eight frogs chirp, croak, and yelp as users create unique rhythms and tones.
