TBG Wins Three Omni Awards
TBG Receives Recognition for Work on Children’s National Health, TBG and Mercy Medical Center Websites
TBG (The Berndt Group), www.berndtgroup.net, a prominent and growing national digital agency located in Baltimore, MD, today announced that it has won three Omni Awards for its work on the Children’s National Health System and Mercy Medical System websites. TBG also won an Omni for its work on its own recent website redesign.
The annual Omni Awards honors and recognizes the outstanding achievements in film, video, Web and mobile media. Competition is fierce as submissions are received from all 50 states in the U.S. and from over 47 countries worldwide.
TBG has worked with the Mercy Medical System for over 18 years. TBG has helped the medical organization go through several website redesigns and iterations to address its growth and complexity. Mercy’s most recent responsive redesign showcases the medical system’s willingness to stay on top of website trends and best practices, ensuring they meet the needs of all of their constituents. This adaptability has won the organization, working with TBG, a number of awards, including a WebAward, a Horizon Award, and a W3 Award.
After selecting TBG through a rigorous RFP process, Children’s National sought to develop a website that improved patient experience, improved physician satisfaction, and aligned with the health system’s updated branding. TBG developed Web strategy recommendations based on creative analysis and best practices research, in addition to a series of interviews with top stakeholders within Children’s National. This process enabled TBG to develop a new Web strategy, design, and user-driven, higher usability architecture for the site that resonates for all users, especially patients and their families. TBG continues to work with Children’s National to deepen integration, migrate and improve microsites, and making greater use of the Sitecore CMS platform.
When it came to redesigning its own Web presence, TBG took the redesign of its online presence very seriously. TBG has spent the last 24 years in the business building a national reputation as the best mid-sized Web developer in the country, and making our company a great place to work. It was imperative that the new site tell the story of this growth and expertise. Built completely in Sitecore CMS, the full responsive website enables personalization and customer engagement, along with greater social media engagement. TBG also focused on enhancing its Projects/Portfolio section that details case studies on major projects. The new site also gives a better sense of TBG’s company culture—what it’s like to work here, what it’s like to work with us as a client, and what we’re like outside of the conference room. Overall, the site is a state-of-the-art example of Web development best practices.
“As always, it’s an honor to receive these recognitions—TBG is proud to be a recipient of this year’s Omni Awards,” said CEO, John Berndt. “We work hard to make each and every one of our projects a best in class example and these awards help showcase the dedication of our team. We’re excited that our own site was recognized!”
These recognitions go hand in hand with the numerous awards and recognitions TBG has received throughout the years, including a recent and continued recognition from the Baltimore Business Journal. In addition, TBG has won numerous awards for its work, including Sitecore Site of the Year, multiple ADDY® awards, and Webby honors (the “Oscars” of the Web).
