subcontracting work for TBG

Women building large legosTBG does the majority of its work with its internal full-time resources, but over the years we have built an extended and ever-growing family of well-integrated freelance subcontractors that give us the flexibility to meet the ebbs and flows of large projects.

We do this very carefully, making sure that the relationship is a deep one, and that it meets the needs of both parties.

TBG looks for new talented, ethical professionals to freelance in a variety of areas. We're looking for individuals with great personal organization and a willingness to work in teams using structured processes. Expertise and demonstrated ability to successfully execute is crucial, but equally important is a long-term—rather than single-project—mindset, and a willingness to become an integrated part of our team.

TBG is only interested in developing lasting relationships.

Subcontractors working with TBG can expect commensurate loyalty, commitment, and the opportunity to work closely on teams with some of the most talented (and nicest) Web professionals out there. The opportunities for skill and portfolio building are unique and strong, since TBG provides leading development services for strategically advanced, high quality clients.

In addition to great projects, subcontractors can expect clear, structured feedback on their work, appropriate training when necessary, and a broader-than-usual integration in the various parts of the project.

We don't just throw deliverables or requirements over the wall and expect subcontractors to figure it out—we work with them in a way that sets them up for success and to do their best work. We provide them with a lot of detail about the standards, goals, and priorities associated with not just the project as a whole, but also each piece of work.

TBG has a number of subcontractors who have worked with the company for over 10 years, and helped develop some of our best projects. There is also a history of long-term TBG subcontractors becoming full-time employees and vice versa, keeping the door open to working in a variety of ways.
